This triggers the breakdown of the nonconductor material between the anode and the cathode and causes the voltage to fall as the current climate increases.

The breakdown voltage of BZW06-10RL are 10KA or 6KA, depending on the impulse waveform. Its capacitance is 20~150pF and the leakage current is 0.1uA. The device is also temperature compensated, offering better protection of circuits in extreme temperatures. The device also features a small package size and a low forward voltage.
