When the CCM01-6202 is fitted within a PC card socket, the spring contacts of the card socket moves outwardly and fit into the contact points of the CCM01-6202. Thus, the spring contacts and contact points form a closed circuit. This circuit then relays the signal from the device to the motherboard. As a result, the PC Card Socket makes a secure connection. When the connection is successfully established, the latch securely locks the CCM01-6202 in place.
