The CD74ACT139M96 is a High Speed 1-of-8/2-of-4 Multiplexer/Demultiplexer designed to eliminate bus contention in high-speed multiprocessing systems. It has two sets of eight data inputs (four in each set) and one set of four control inputs (S0, S1, S2 and G). These inputs are used to select one of the two data sources (8 bits in each set) to drive an output bus (4 bits). It is fabricated with advanced CMOS logic technology that provides high speed performance and low static power dissipation.

In addition, the CD74ACT139M96 is also used in a variety of applications such as memory expansion, communications systems, data routing and D-A converter address multiplexing.
