Common Mode Chokes, or otherwise referred to as CMCs, are components designed to block and reduce the amount of current flowing between two AC power lines. This is done by using magnetic properties to oppose the flow of current. Generally, the more advanced and high-tech common mode chokes are equipped with multiple windings, fixed and moveable cores, and advanced features like temperature sensors and safety locks.
The CMS2-6-R is a high-efficiency common mode choke capable of processing up to 5000A of high-power electricity. This provides excellent protection against both high-frequency interference and pulse current conditions.
The CMS2-6-R is suitable for a variety of applications, ranging from AC drives and servo motors as safety backup to factory automation controllers or switchgear control equipment, and DC motor drives. At the core of the CMS2-6-R is a specially designed “current transformer” which features two separate copper rings. The primary current enters one of the copper rings and the product of this current enters the other.
