The trigger current is applied to the gate terminal and results in the switch being closed. Once the current is removed, the switch opens again.The device has two different switching modes: Triac mode and SCR-mode. In triac mode, the device will switch on when the current flows from the anode to the cathode. In SCR mode, the device will switch on when the current flows in a clockwise direction.The operating temperature of the device is -40°C to +125°C and the response time of the device is very fast (less than 300ns).Conclusion
