DAC70508EVM Application Field and Working PrincipleThe DAC70508EVM is a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) evaluation board. The board is designed for use with the DAC70508 8-bit resolution dual-channel digital to analog converter device. The Texas Instruments DAC70508EVM evaluation board is suited for a variety of applications such as digital signal processing, motor drives, linear motion control, digital audio and video systems, and data acquisition systems.The DAC70508 device is a low-voltage, low-power digital-to-analog converter with 8-bit resolution, dual channels, and low noise performance. The two programmable outputs are each capable of providing up to 200 mA of output current. The outputs can be connected in series or a single output can be connected to a voltage source, in either case allowing the user to program a wide range of full-scale output voltages (from ±2.5 V to ±5 V). The DAC70508EVM is designed to evaluate the performance of the DAC70508 device and includes the necessary components to generate the required supply voltages and waveforms. The operating principle of the DAC70508EVM board is explained in the DAC70508 data sheet. The device is connected to a voltage source and supplied with a digital signal input. The digital input signal is converted to an analog voltage or current output by the DAC70508.
