Working Principle

The working principle of DAT70515 is based on the fact that two ferromagnetic components, plunger and solenoid, are used in the relay. The plunger is surrounded by the solenoid coil, and when the current is applied to the solenoid by the relay, the plunger is magnetically actuated towards the middle of the solenoid. This forces the contact tips that are connected to the plunger to move to either of the two sides, making contact with either the normally-open or normally-closed contact. This completes the circuit, switching the signal from one of the two devices.The DAT70515 has an internal switch contact resistance of 250 milliohms and insulation resistance between the coils and the contacts of greater than 10^12 ohms, allowing for operation in low impedance circuits.
