DC1623A Working Principle

The DC1623A is based on STMicroelectronics’ STP04CM series of integrated power modules. Depending on the configuration of the board, the DC1623A can provide up to 8A of output current.

The output voltage of the DC1623A can be programmed via its built-in web page. The voltage is controlled by the integrated buck and boost PFC controller, which uses a combination of hysteretic and PFC control techniques to provide a smooth voltage regulation. The board also includes a power factor optimization (PFO) feature to improve the power factor of the load.
