DC2727A Evaluation Board with the incorporated LT2727A DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS IC offers a comprehensive integrated design platform allowing designers to conveniently evaluate the operation of off-line SMPS converters up to 250W in various configurations.
The DC2727A evaluation board is populated with all the required surface-mount components to build a flyback converter. It is designed as a universal board that can be used for numerous off-line SMPS applications. The DC2727A board also integrates all of the necessary safety features which are needed for a safe and reliable operation. It incorporates a soft start circuit to limit the inrush current, as well as a shunt for line current sensing for overcurrent protection.
The working principle of the DC2727A evaluation board is based on the buck topology and a twin-switch control scheme. The LT2727A on the DC2727A evaluation board is powered by an input voltage of up to 110Vrms and works in continuous conduction mode (CCM) with valley-switch control (VSC) technique. The LT2727A provides a complete control solution for precise off-line SMPS designs. Its adaptive auto-sizing feature helps minimize power loss and increases efficiency of the design.
