DC2789A-B Application Field and Working Principle
DC2789A-B is an Evaluation Board for Digital to Analog Converters (DACs). It is used for evaluating the performance of the 16-bit, bipolar, LTCDAC2612 high speed digital-to-analog converter (DAC).The board has two DACs on board: one is LTCDAC2612 and the other is LTC2512. Both of them are 16-bit precision DACs. The DC2789A-B evaluation board is designed to exercise the unique features of the LTCDAC2612 DAC, such as low noise, high accuracy, fast settling times, and other advantages offered by DACs with high linearity. It is also designed to demonstrate the performance of the LTC2512 DACs in a variety of real-world applications.The DC2789A-B evaluation board features a variety of DAC BenchTest performance demonstrations. The firmware included with the evaluation board allows the user to directly drive the DACs with the on-board USB-based Digilent interface. The analog output of the board is accessible via a BNC connector.The DC2789A-B is designed to demonstrate the performance of the LTCDAC2612 in production applications. It provides a platform for testing and validating the functionality of the DAC. This platform enables engineers to quickly evaluate the circuit\'s performance, design complexity, and power consumption.The board includes two PLLs, one for clocking and the other for synchronization. It has external reference clock inputs and programmable clock inputs. It also features a synchronous FIFO interface and an observation circuit.The DC2789A-B is self-powered and includes several switching regulators for aiding in powering the board. The power input requirements are 8V±2V DC for the board.The board has an operating temperature range of 0° C to +70° C and a storage temperature range of -55° C to +125° C. It is designed to meet the requirements of the EN 55022: 2008 and EN 55032: 2014 class A requirements for radiated and conducted emissions, and has a maximum output signal level of +20 dBm.The DC2789A-B is tested using the Digilent Evaluation Board Suite (EVBS) software. The software allows users to evaluate various performance parameters such as settling time and accuracy, frequency response, jitter, noise, crosstalk, and glitches.The board has a built-in interface for programming the DAC through the PC. It also provides features such as calibration, gain / offset control, and power management.The DC2789A-B is an ideal platform for evaluating the performance of the LTCDAC2612 and evaluating the features offered by the ADC.
