The DG419BDY-T1 is an analog switch that is designed for use in multiple applications in the engineering and industrial fields. The DG419 is a Quad SPST Analog Switch which consists of four individual switches integrated on a single chip. They are used to switch digital logic levels as well as analog signals with a maximum voltage rating of 24V and a current rating of 50mA. It features low on-resistance and off-isolation characteristics making it ideal for multiplexing and signal conditioning tasks. It’s operating voltage is 5V and it consumes very low power. The unit has very low crosstalk and are fully protected against ESD and latch-up. The DG419BDY-T1 is a surface mount device and comes in a variety of packages to suit a range of applications. The switch’s core feature is its low input capacitance which is only 8pF at 5V. This allows for faster switching speeds and higher signal fidelity when compared to other switches. Its low on-resistance of only 1 ohm ensures much higher switching accuracy than other analog switches.The working principle of the DG419BDY-T1 is quite simple. It is a voltage-controlled switch which is operated by a control signal at the Gate terminal of the switch. When the voltage at this terminal is high enough, the switch is closed and it allows the current to flow through the Channel terminal and to the next device.
