DG453EY-T1-E3 is an analog switch, multiplexer and demultiplexer integrated circuit from National Semiconductor. It can be used as an analog switch as well as an analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. It is built using CMOS technology with a supply voltage range of 2.7V to18V, making it an ideal choice for low-voltage applications.The DG453EY-T1-E3 has an array of eight single-pole single-throw switches and an enable terminal that controls whether the switches are enabled or disabled. The eight SPDT switches can be configured in multiple ways to function as a single sixteen-position multiplexer, a dual eight-position multiplexer, or a quad four-position multiplexer. In addition, the switches can be used as a quad two-bit demultiplexer or a dual four-bit demultiplexer. Each switch is capable of operating from 0V to +Vcc and is protected from up to four devices simultaneously.The DG453EY-T1-E3 incorporates advanced CMOS technology to obtain high speed at low power. The switch is capable of operating with a maximum signal frequency of 500kHz, and can be used for high frequency switching applications. The chip also features low signal distortion characteristics, a wide dynamic range and low charge injection. It has a typical on-state resistance (Ron) of 5 ohms, off-state leakage current of 0.2uA, and a total maximum switch current of 200mA. The chip is supplied in an SO-14 package and is available in both lead-free and standard pin plating options. This circuit operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for industrial process control applications and automotive systems.
