Working Principle of DLP05LC-7:

On application of high voltage, it initiates an avalanche breakdown in the p-type region within the PN junction. It reduces the voltage drop across the diode thus reducing the power dissipation. The TVS Diode is also designed to minimize the clamping voltage within this range.
