The DMC1018UPD-13 is a high-performance, low-cost, 16-channel analog switch/DAC array. This integrated circuit (IC) is designed for use in applications where high isolation and high resolution switching of signals is desired. The DMC1018UPD-13 employs a combination of innovative design features, such as an array of FETs and integrated capacitors, to achieve its low power consumption, high isolation, and wide bandwidth performance. Additionally, an integrated dual-channel amplifier is included, allowing the user to make adjustments to the switching characteristics of the array directly.The DMC1018UPD-13 is based on a complementary field-effect-transistor (FET) arrangement with an array of 16 FETs that are divided into two “channels” with 8 FETs in each. Each FET is individually connected to one of the 16 analog signal inputs. These FETs form a bridge between the analog signal input and the output of the device. The two channels, separately controlled by two internal gain select lines, are configured to function as an analog switch array, allowing for simultaneous control of the analog signal inputs.
