It also has a wide dither range and provides a software control and monitoring environment for the transceiver.
The board provides several features which make it useful for evaluation and demonstration of the DP83848J 10/100/1000 Mbps Low Power Integrated PHY transceiver. These include the ability to switch from 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps to 1000 Mbps operation with simple connections, allow the user to monitor both the transmitted and received data, and provide statistics about the performance of the transceiver. The board enables the user to monitor the power, carrier sense multiple access, collision detection, and signaling of the 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connection. The board also allows the user to control the function of the transmit and receive link integrity test. Additionally, the board can act as an embedded controller to configure the parameters of each port.
