1. Describe

The DRV8818PWP provides an integrated stepper motor driver solution for printer, scanner and other automation equipment applications. The device features two H-bridge drivers, and microstep indexer logic for controlling stepper motors. Each output driver block consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as a full H-bridge to drive the motor windings. A simple STEP/DIRECTION interface allows easy connection to the controller circuit. A mode pin allows the motor to be configured in full-step, half-step, quarter-step, or eighth-step mode. Decay mode and PWM off time are programmable. Internal shutdown functions are provided for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature. The DRV8818PWP is available in a 28-pin HTSSOP package with PowerPAD™.
