The DRV8840EVM is an evaluation module designed to demonstrate the implementation and operation of the DRV8840 with the wide operating voltage range of 3.7V to 15V and up to 4A. The module comes with a DRV8840ICM, Texas Instruments DRV8840 motor driver IC, pair of motor control jacards and access to all the device test points. The DRV8840EVM is configured to operate in full step, half step, and microstepposition modes, providing a wide range of controllability and flexibility options for motor control.
The DRV8840EVM provides a platform for evaluation and comparison of the DRV8840 device performance when combined with a variety of devices from Texas Instruments and its partners, including motor drivers, motion controllers, encoders, controllers and other related components. This platform also offers the ability to evaluate, program, and debug a variety of parameters of the DRV8840 in order to maximize the system performance.
The DRV8840EVM is a simplified modular platform that utilizes multiple plug-in boards for an easy connection and disconnection to the system.
