DRV8880EVM (motor drive evaluation board) is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit for driving a 3-phase brushless DC, or a brushed DC motor. This board is based on DRV8880, the motor driver IC from Texas Instruments. This board assists customers to evaluate the actual performance of TI’s reliable motor drivers, as well as provides an easy-to-use platform for the development of motor control algorithms for brushed DC and 3-phase brushless motors.

Application Field and Working Principle

The DRV8880 motor driver board is designed to evaluate the DRV8880 motor driver IC. It has been specifically designed for automotive, industrial and consumer applications. It has two motor drivers, DRV8880B and DRV8880A, which can drive two brushed or brushless DC motors at up to 2A peak current.
