Working Principle

If the voltage level falls out of this range, the reset enable feature is disabled, allowing the reset timeout to take over. When the system detects a fault, such as a power failure, the reset timeout will remain active until the fault condition has been rectified. Once this is done, the system can be restarted by the reset enable circuit. The reset enable can be adjusted depending on the user’s needs, and it is also possible to completely disable this feature if desired. In addition, the chip also contains an over-voltage reset circuit which can trigger a reset if the voltage of the power supply exceeds the acceptable range.
