The DS1553-100+ is a real time clock integrated circuit from Maxim Integrated Products. It provides time and calendar information to applications such as mobile phones, automotive systems and networked systems. It supports periodic interrupts with a resolution of 8.192 seconds, 16384 milliseconds, or 32768 milliseconds. In addition, the alarm can be configured to produce an interrupt when the time and/or calendar values match user-programmed values.

Power management features are also included on the DS1553-100+. These features enable system savings by powering off, or disabling, parts of the device when not in use. The power management features enable dynamic power management of the oscillator and RTC domain, as well as the interrupt logic, or dedicated logic functions. The power-down mode of the device may be disabled or enabled to enable or disable the device, respectively.

The DS1553-100+ provides a flexible and efficient solution for applications where precise time and calendar functionality are required. It is designed to provide a low power solution while providing fast, accurate timing and interrupt triggering capabilities.
