An on-board precision voltage reference (1.235 V) is also provided to enable a constant threshold voltage for the reset function. In addition, the voltage reference of the device is programmable up to 4.2V so that it can be optimized for a wide range of application areas.

Furthermore, the DS1706SESA+ provides comprehensive protection against power system faults. The integrated thermal shutdown circuitry helps to guard against outsized power dissipation and device over-temperature.
