DS1707ESA is a PMIC – Supervisor. It is a very important and powerful device which provides many useful features in the latest applications. The main function of the device is to provide power supply supervision, power-on reset and to maintain correct operating states.
The DS1707ESA is an advanced, dual output system-power supply supervisor with integrated over-voltage protection and a low-current reset output. It provides an integrated full-featured solution for power supply system management. The device includes two independent, active-low voltage monitors (V MON1 and V MON2 ) for monitoring power supplies and a reset output to maintain system and peripheral states during a power failures, safe restart conditions and/or over-voltage conditions.
The DS1707ESA supervisor monitors two power supplies from +2V to +48V. The two voltage monitoring (V MON ) inputs are designed with hysteresis and a specific delay time to ensure reliable operation when monitoring voltage transitions. The DS1707ESA supervisors allows user to control the V MON voltage thresholds and the RESET output width. In addition, the RESET output has a manual reset input, allowing the user to reset the device at any desired moment by eliminating any uncertainty regarding the power-on sequence and the device state.
The DS1707ESA provides protection against overvoltage conditions, helping to prevent equipment loss due to voltage peak caused by pulsed inductive or capacitive load switching and/or line transients. Additionally, the device allows customers to define their own voltage thresholds and provide much-needed flexibility when designing systems to meet various conditions.
The DS1707ESA offers superior power supply supervision and power-on reset features which are perfect for any application requiring a high level of power supply system stability. Its low-power supply current offers higher reliability and maintains system and peripheral states during a wide range of operating conditions and in a variety of applications.
