The DS1862AB+ is a laser driver integrated circuit which is a part of the Programmable Micro Interface Circuits (PMIC) family from Maxim Integrated. This device is designed to offer extremely low-emission laser driver solutions for a wide range of applications, such as laser imaging, laser cutting, laser welding, laser marking, laser drilling, laser trimming, and laser spectroscopy. In terms of operation, the DS1862AB+ includes an array of high-speed digital logic which is programmable and can be used to generate pulse widths, pulse amplitude levels, and laser modulation.

LS1862AB+ features both a high-voltage output stage for driving high-power laser sources as well as a low-voltage output stage for driving low-power laser sources. This device also features a dual-level CLK output for driving systems where multiple lasers are used in parallel. The device\'s output stage can drive up to 25mA of current and can be used with a wide range of laser driver circuits such as the three-stage Darlington circuit and the two-stage Back-Corner circuit.
