The integrated receivers are designed for long-distance communication. They are designed to withstand destructive ground-loop, voltage and ESD conditions by providing a high level of robustness to incoming data. Furthermore, the receivers can detect and reject data from non-standard transmitters, ensuring only correctly formatted data is processed.
