It also has an extra-thick insulation layer and low loss TANG material, for the highest possible electrical performance with low ESL.The principle of operation of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on Faraday’s law of electrolysis. According to Faraday’s law, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor consists of two conducting plates that are separated by an electrolyte. The electrolyte contains ions that migrate between the plates, allowing for a storage of electrical charge.When an electrical current is applied to the capacitor, the ions in the electrolyte migrate to the positive plate, storing charge. When the voltage is removed from the capacitor, the ions are drawn back to the negative plate, releasing the stored charge.
