Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, or just electrolytic capacitors, are widely used in many different pulse circuits, AC-to-DC and DC-to-DC power conversion, energy storage, and signal filtering applications. The EKMH201VNN681MR30N (hereafter referred to as the “EKMH”) is a high-performance electrolytic capacitor specifically designed for industrial and commercial duty power conversion applications. These capacitors provide superior voltage isolation, low cost, and high-temperature operation when compared to traditional films and ceramics. The EKMH is designed to provide effective energy storage and filtering for power supplies, electronic power conditioning, power factor control, frequency stabilization, AC power line filtering, and other power applications. The EKMH is made of an anode lead, cathode lead, and electrolytic paste all encased in an aluminum can with a passivated nickel layer. This passivated nickel layer helps to create a high-temp seal, allowing for more efficient operation under extreme environmental conditions. The EKMH is available in common values of 10 - 1000µF and rated voltages of 10 - 500VDC. The EKMH has a low ESR (Effective Series Resistance), low equivalent series resistance (ESR), and a high quality factor. This combination of performance benefits makes it ideal for high-temperature, voltage-isolated power supplies, as well as other power conversion applications. The voltage across the EKMH is the same as the rated voltage, although the voltage over a longer period of time may be much higher.
