The EL3033M optotriac is a solid-state, digital isolator designed to function as a remote shutdown, overvoltage protection, and/or current limit switch without the complex operation of unipolar components. The EL3033M is used to switch an AC load, through an optotriac, from a logic level control signal. The EL3033M optotriac is a fast-switching, bidirectional, optically isolated DC-AC power switch. This component uses a zero-crossing detection system with a monostable circuit, to allow the power switch to remain off during a power cycle.
