Working Principle
The EL5392ACUZ operates as a low distortion, low noise, high accuracy, voltage follower. It consists of two high gain, wideband, internal-clipping amplifiers. The input signals are normalized to a common mode range of rail-to-rail to achieve maximum range and resolution. The output signals are driven through the high gain internal-clipping amplifiers to the output. The outputs provide very low distortion, excellent linearity and high speed. This amplifier has very low power consumption at a supply voltage range from 4.5 to 36 VDC.
The EL5392ACUZ operates in three modes: single-ended, rail-to-rail, and dual-supply. In single-ended mode, the input common mode range is from the negative supply voltage to the positive supply voltage, thus reducing the offset errors. In rail-to-rail mode, the input common mode range is from the system ground to the positive supply voltage, thus eliminating the need for an external reference voltage. In dual-supply mode, the input common mode range is from the negative supply voltage to the positive supply voltage and the output range is from the negative supply voltage to the positive supply voltage, thus allowing larger signals.
The EL5392ACUZ features a slew rate limited body diode protection against input and output over-voltage conditions. The amplifier also features ESD protection, thermal shut-down and latch protection to ensure correct operation even in the most demanding environmental conditions.
