Working Principle of ELFR18160 Terminal Blocks

The working principle of the ELFR18160 terminal block is simple and straightforward. The block comprises two parts. The top part contains two or more spring-loaded contacts which grab the bare wires when they are inserted into the block, ensuring a secure connection. The bottom part of the block contains slotted holes which the wires can be routed through. VE and VDE type markers are also included for identification.The spring-loaded contacts connect to the copper conductor of the wires when pressure is applied. This ensures strong and reliable connections, and also helps reduce wire strand spread. The contacts are designed to be used with copper and aluminum stranded wires and are color coded for easy wire identification.Once the wires have been secured in the block, they can be further secured with the use of screws or locking clips. The top and bottom parts of the block are also sealed to prevent dirt, dust, and moisture from entering the block and damaging the connections.
