EMI/RFI (electromagnetic or radio frequency interference) filters are an important part of every electronic system, as they can prevent unwanted signals from entering or leaving a device. The device features excellent surge performance, with peak pulse current rating of 4.8kA and 8/20 μs surge waveforms withstood up to 8kV. It is also UL-approved to EN61439-2 standard.
