Working Principle

The output voltage is also compared to the feedback voltage divided by the temperature coefficient resistors to produce a temperature-compensated voltage. The error amplifier compares the output voltage to the feedback voltage to regulate the output voltage.
In fold back mode, the current flow is regulated by the current limit comparator, which compares the voltage on a sense resistor to the current limit threshold voltage. When the output current reaches the current limit, the current flow is regulated to maintain the current limit.
To protect the device from sudden power failure, an under-voltage lockout circuit is also implemented, which will shut down the device if it detects a low voltage.
