FAN5624UMPX is a high current step down LED driver specifically designed for LED lighting applications that require LED current to be tightly regulated. It consists of built-in synchronous buck converter, two on-chip current-sense amplifiers and a built-in low resistance 16mohm power FET. When a voltage is applied to its input terminal, the built-in synchronous buck converter will control the switching of the power FET. The FET is configured to be managed in a single pulse width modulation (PWM) mode where the LED current is regulated through controlling the PWM duty cycle. The intensity of LED driving current is determined by the reference voltage (Vref) at the REFCOMP pin and the constant current control accuracy level is determined by the gain of the current-sense amplifier A1.
