The FEB155 is a prototyping platform designed to easily evaluate and develop LoRaWAN-based applications. This board is a stand-alone device that can be quickly connected to the LoRaWAN and run on a basic web-based control environment. The FEB155 is suitable for applications in smart cities, smart agriculture, and industrial use. As a LoRaWAN device, it can access and communicate with multiple LoRaWAN networks with different network architectures.

The FEB155 prototyping platform is built on an ARM Cortex-M4 core MCU and is capable of running a wide range of applications on LoRaWAN networks such as firmware updates, remote diagnostics, and IoT data analytics. It includes a variety of modules such as GPS, BLE, WiFi, and electric energy meter, allowing developers to quickly create and test end-to-end LoRaWAN solutions. The board is also equipped with a wide range of debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and laboratory power supplies.

As the cornerstone of a LoRaWAN system, the FEB155 application field and working principle outlines its primary objective: to communicate with Internet-connected devices that are connected wirelessly in close proximity. It is based on the sophisticated modulation and robustness properties of the spread spectrum, which enables the FEB155 to support a wide range of applications. Unlike other wireless technologies, the spread spectrum technology employed by the FEB155 enables it to be extremely reliable, providing a low bit rate and high power consumption compared to other wireless systems.

The FEB155 is capable of running multiple network architectures, including star and mesh topologies. Both topologies are compatible with the IEEE802.15.4 LoRaWAN protocol, which enables the development of low-power consumption applications. With the support of the mesh topology, a network of connected devices can easily be established using only one gateway. This feature greatly reduces the complexity of LoRaWAN networks and allows for an easier implementation.

In addition, the FEB155 offers concrete protection of its resources through the radio protection mechanism. It functions by establishing a protection zone, a channel on the radio link that cannot be used to broadcast any data or signals. This ensures that external devices cannot interfere with the communication between the FEB155 nodes and the gateway. Furthermore, the FEB155 offers a reliable platform for message scheduling. It not only enables priority access to the LoRaWAN networks but also allows for better management of traffic within the network.

Finally, the FEB155 application field and working principle are determined by its main software component: the Adaptive Network Protocol. The ANP enables the FEB155 to automatically adjust the transceiver parameters and adapt its communication protocol to the best-performing settings for the surrounding environment. This allows for optimal data throughput regardless of the changing network conditions. Similarly, the ANP enables the FEB155 to increase the power of the signals when the distance between the nodes and the gateway is increased, leading to improved overall signal reception.

All these features make the FEB155 an ideal prototyping platform to quickly evaluate and develop LoRaWAN-based solutions. It is suitable for applications in smart cities, smart agriculture, and industrial use. It can access and communicate with multiple LoRaWAN networks with different network architectures and can be easily configured in order to meet specific user requirements. Finally, the FEB155 ensures reliable communication through its radio protection mechanism and offers a comprehensive foundation for LoRaWAN device development.
