FM93C06N is a classical 8-bit OTP (One Time Programmable) EEPROM memory chip from Fairchild Semiconductor. Working Principle:
The FM93C06N memory chip works by using a series of 1 to 8 control bits, which are programmed into the memory cell. To program the memory cell, the user has to apply the programming voltage on the control pins for the required number of bits. Once the programming voltage is applied, the memory cell will store the data and will retain it for the duration of its data life. In order to retrieve the data from the memory cell, the user has to apply the read voltage on the control pins. This will cause the memory cell to output the stored data in the form of binary code. The user can then process the data in the form of desired format as required by his application.
