It is designed for 8 bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion systems, analog data buffering and sampling, digital filtering, and other precision analog signal processing applications. The FSA1257L8X integrates eight independently controlled high speed analog switches, with low on-state resistance and low parasitic capacitance.</p><p>The device is targeted for applications where low on-state resistance, low power consumption, wide dynamic range and low offset voltage are of primary importance. It provides accuracy and linearity beyond that available with standard switches and multiplexers, eliminating the need for design compromises.</p><p>The FSA1257L8X is controlled by a single I&O programming voltage that controls all switching impedances, channel enables and other important operating characteristics. The channel enables are optimized to prevent settling time distortion, and the switches can be disabled even during switching transition.</p><p>The FSA1257L8X supports single-ended input buffer operation, as well as differential input buffer operation. Single-ended operation provides wide dynamic range, fast settling and low noise. Differential operation allows for greater common-mode rejection and offset voltage integration.</p><p>The FSA1257L8X has a built-in hysteresis function that allows the channel-coupling and channel-gating to be set independently. This hysteresis feature provides an extra level of switch mastering when input voltages fluctuate dramatically during data acquisition and processing.</p><p>The FSA1257L8X also features a built-in power switch control circuitry that prevents the switch from becoming over-driven during operation. This means that the FSA1257L8X can handle high-power switching applications without becoming overloaded.</p><p>In addition to its advanced switching capabilities, the FSA1257L8X provides a number of other important features. It offers integrated linear clamp levels and low voltage input threshold, which are critical for high speed, high resolution data acquisition and processing.</p> <p>The FSA1257L8X operates at low power and low noise, while providing excellent signal integrity and control.
