This kind of fast recovery rectifier diode has a wide application field, such as Schottky barrier diodes, high frequency rectification, charging, lightning protection, etc.The working principle of FST60100D is as follow: When a current-carrying cable connected to a device is passed through a magnetic field, the current is split into two components: a permanent component, which produces a maximum voltage due to Lenz law and a displacement component, which is related to the velocity of the magnetic field. The displacement component produces an impulse voltage, which is the working principle of the FST60100D fast recovery rectifier diode.In general, the FST60100D operates between reverse blocking and forward blocking. The diode is blocked when the voltage is below the forward breakover voltage and when the forward current is below the forward current limit. Any current above this value will be diverted to the diode. When the current is reversed, the diode also stops conducting current as before, but with a much lower breakdown voltage.
