Bridge rectifiers are an essential type of rectifier which is used to convert Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC). A bridge rectifier is a type of electronic rectifier that converts an AC signal into a DC signal by way of two sets of diodes, arranged so that the current flows in one direction only. This device features an ultra-high average current, up to 3.2A and a peak current of 4A with a maximum voltage of 400V. It also features an ultra-low forward voltage drop of just 0.9V, ensuring high-efficiency operation. In addition, it has excellent thermal of up to125°C and a low thermal resistance of 1.3 K/W, allowing it to operate in a wide temperature range.The working principle of bridge rectifiers is quite simple. It consists of two sets of diodes that are arranged in a bridge configuration. When an AC signal is applied to the inputs of the bridge rectifier, the diodes in the circuit will alternately conduct, depending on the positive or negative cycle of the input. When a positive cycle of the voltage is applied, the diode on the left side of the bridge will become forward-biased and will start to conduct, while the diode on the right side will become reverse-biased and will not conduct. During the negative cycle of the voltage, the diodes will then be in reverse, and the diode on the right side will become forward-biased and will start to conduct, while the diode on the left side will become reverse-biased and will not conduct.
