Working Principle

The GL41THE3/96 diode works in a similar manner to any other rectifier diode. It is constructed with two electrodes, the anode and the cathode. The anode is connected to the positive terminal and the cathode to the negative terminal. When current forms between the two, the diode will become forward-biased, allowing the electrons to flow in a one-directional manner. Conversely, when the diode is reverse-biased, current will not flow and the diode will become non-conductive. This arrangement allows the GL41THE3/96 diode to be used as a rectifier with applications requiring current flow in only one direction.

The GL41THE3/96 diode also has an internal resistance, which limits the current flow. This resistance is due to the depletion layer that forms at the junction between the anode and the cathode. The resistance value decreases as the voltage across the diode increases, allowing for current to flow when a sufficient voltage is applied.

The GL41THE3/96 also has low forward voltage drop and low junction capacitance. This feature allows it to be used in applications where low power consumption, high efficiency and low noise levels are a requirement.
