A Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diode, sometimes referred to as a Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diode, or simply a Transient Voltage Limiter (TVL) Diode, is a specialized diode designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic components from voltage transients such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
