Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT)

Gas discharge tube (GDT) arresters are specialized surge arresters developed to protect electrical systems and equipment from high voltage transients. GDT arresters are composed of a series of gas-filled tubes that are electrically connected in series. A key feature of the GDT arrester is that it does not need a continuous current to be able to operate. This makes it a more efficient option than some other types of arresters.
