The Working Principle of H11L2SM

The H11L2SM optocoupler works by using the photovoltaic effect. When light from the LED is incident on the photodetector, a small current is generated, approximately proportional to the intensity of the light. This current activates the internal MOSFET which draws current from the LED, and the load is turned on. The current then flows from the LED to the photodiode, and then to the ground, providing an isolated voltage potential between the input and output circuits.

The H11L2SM has a maximum off-state stay duration of 5 milliseconds, and can switch at speeds as fast as 10 microseconds from the time it starts to detect light to the time it turns off again. It requires a minimum input current of 1mA in off-state and a maximum input current of 10mA in on-state. The device also has an inbuilt self-protection feature that prevents it from overloading.

The H11L2SM is a versatile and versatile optocoupler due to its high noise immunity, wide voltage range, and high speed switching. It is ideal for applications where electrical isolation is required and robust operation is needed.
