RF Amplifiers
The HMC441LH5TR is a wideband Amplifier and is used in radio frequency systems. It is a single balanced Amplifier with high linearity, low noise, and cos Theta output matching. This amplifier applications a wide variety of RF applications, such as Point-to-Point (PTP) communications, Military Radar Systems, Cellular Base Station Receive and Transmit Paths, ISM band applications, Direction-Finding Applications, Directional Radiation, and high power pulsed amplifiers.
Working Principle
The HMC441LH5TR is a high power amplifying mixer designed as a two port, high linearity unit designed for signal down-conversion and low level mixing in the low GHz and VHF bands of frequencies. The HMC441LH5TR has an integrated directional coupler which provides a port for direct amplifying mixer RF input. The high power amplifying mixer is designed with a single Grouper port, making it a good choice for Multiband OFDM applications.
The amplifying mixer utilizes GaAs pHEMT embedded Distributed Active Matching (eDAM) technology which provides low noise amplification and highly linear operation. This technology has been designed to fully integrate RF matching elements and reduce the complexity of complicated assembly processes while providing low loss performance.
Application Field
The HMC441LH5TR is an ideal choice for high throughput applications due to its wideband and linear characteristics that enable high power, high efficiency amplification. The amplifier is also appropriate for Point-to-Point (PTP) communications, Military Radar Systems, Cellular Base Station Receive and Transmit Paths, and ISM band applications.
The HMC441LH5TR provides low 3rd order IMD intermodulation performance and excellent harmonic rejection that is key to developing reliable high power systems with low noise floors. Additionally, the amplifier has a low noise figure that will reduce the noise floor of digital broadcast receivers and is ideal for IPTV transport links. Furthermore, the HMC441LH5TR is suitable for short range digital radio applications, Directional Radiation measurements and Direction Finding applications.
The HMC441LH5TR is also ideal for high power pulsed amplifier applications. This type of amplifier is ideally suited for high power microwave sensors and radar applications. The wideband output power capability of the HMC441LH5TR is ideal for systems that require wide signal bandwidths such as High Definition Television (HDTV). Additionally, the HMC441LH5TR can be used for wireless telemetry applications such as remote sensing systems.
