The HMC490 is a high performance GaAs MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) distributed amplifier and active bias control circuit designed for a wide variety of RF amplifier applications. It is designed for use with a single 5V supply voltage, with an operating frequency range from DC to 6 GHz. With an output power of as high as 18 dBm (0.8 W) and a noise figure of close to 4 dB, the HMC490 is well suited for microwave and millimeter wave receiver front-ends, signal amplifiers, and repeaters for wireless applications such as WLAN and WiMAX.
