HMC5883L-EVAL Application Field And Working Principle
The HMC5883L-EVAL evaluation board is designed for use in autonomous applications requiring the use of a 3-axis compass for navigation. The board is powered by an ATMega328 microcontroller and includes a low-noise current regulator, a 3-axis magnetometer, and an onboard Atmel 3.3V regulator.At its core, the HMC5883L-EVAL utilizes the Honeywell HMC5883L three-axis digital compass IC for providing accurate position and direction tracking. With its low power consumption and wide temperature range, the HMC5883L provides reliable data in a variety of environments.The HMC5883L-EVAL is designed for use in autonomous applications that require the use of a digital compass for navigation. The evaluation board includes a 3-axis magnetometer, which measures the earth’s magnetic field and provides a precision heading direction in degrees. With a maximum resolution of 1 degree and a resolution 0.9 degree, the HMC5883L-EVAL can provide extremely accurate positioning data.The HMC5883L-EVAL features a low-noise current regulator and an onboard 3.3V regulator, allowing it to be powered by either a 7V-12V DC supply or an external potentiometer. Additionally, the board contains a terminal power switch and a programming header that can be used to access an array of programming and interfacing options.The evaluation board also contains a dedicated I2C interface, allowing it to be connected to a compatible microcontroller or development board. I2C communication allows the evaluation board to interact with other devices, as well as receive and transmit sensor data.The HMC5883L-EVAL also features two-wire bidirectional communication for accelerometer and magnetometer data.
