HF filters exist today in a wide range of applications in various design and engineering disciplines. Filter designs can be as simple as a single inductor-capacitor combination to as complex as specialized high-frequency electronic circuits. The HMC900LP5E is a standard open-loop wideband filter with low power consumption. It is used for applications such as frequency synthesis, signal modulation/demodulation, and for stabilizing interference caused by frequency sensitive digital features, including PLLs, oscillators and digital logic.

The HMC900LP5E is built on a 0.5mm CMOS process, allowing for low-power operation with higher operating frequencies than traditional integrated filters. Its wide bandpass filter ranges from 100 to 750MHz with a 20MHz window passband. It also has an adjustable center frequency of 500 MHz and an adjustable 3dB bandwidth of 40 MHz.
