Application Field: HVMLS103M020EA1D capacitor is mainly used as a main filter capacitor in AC/DC switch power supply and SMPS. It is also suitable for any application where a low ESR aluminum electrolytic capacitor is required. Working Principle: The working of aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the Faraday\'s Law of Electrolysis. The capacitor consists of two aluminum foil electrodes separated by a non-conductive dielectric material. The metallic foil is then rolled into a cylindrical shape and placed inside an electrolyte. This arrangement forms a parallel-plate capacitor, when a voltage potential difference is applied, current flows from one plate to another through the electrolyte causing an action of electrolysis.This reaction produces a thin insulating layer of aluminum oxide on both the plates. This insulating layer helps in reducing the resistance of the capacitor which increases the capacitance and helps in stabilizing the voltage.

The temperature ratings prescribed for this capacitor are PG (-20°C to +105°C). It can withstand a ripple current up to 2.6 A at EC 105°C. The rated voltage for this capacitor is 400V and the tolerance allowance for the capacitance is ±20%.
