The ICS2059GI-02T is a Clock Generator with an integrated PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) and Frequency Synthesizer. It is designed for applications that require precision timing, including clock and data recovery, clock synthesis and frequency synthesis.
The ICS2059GI-02T uses an integrated post-amplifier and differential VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) to generate an output clock frequency in the range of 10MHz to 500MHz. The PLL circuit accurately locks the input clock frequency to the output clock while tracking phase and frequency variation in the input frequency.
A set of Synchronous Multi-Phase Clocking Pads or SMPC pads is used to control and adjust the output clock frequency. The output clock frequency can be programmed with a few cycles of external control pulses. This eliminates the need for an external clock adjustment circuit and ensures precise accuracy of the output clock frequency.
The ICS2059GI-02T supports a wide range of clock synthesis and frequency synthesis. It is capable of generating a wide range of output frequencies from a single input clock frequency. It has a multi-phase outputs for a wide range of clock synchronization applications including high speed scan test, bus-oriented systems, etc.
The ICS2059GI-02T also integrates a Gated Clock Out function, which allows for three selectable output frequencies. This feature eliminates the need for an additional clock adjustment for applications requiring multiple clock frequencies. It supports a wide range of input clock frequency tolerance and has a low jitter output for applications that require low noise operation.
In addition, the ICS2059GI-02T supports feedback filtering to reduce noise in the PLL loop. This enables the device to use a much wider range of input clock frequencies and provides superior jitter performance.
The ICS2059GI-02T has been designed to provide increased power efficiency and excellent jitter performance. It uses adaptive logic and clock sequencing to achieve the highest power efficiency and lowest power dissipation possible. The integrated control PLL enables the device to reduce the number of clock cycles required to complete a single calculation.
The ICS2059GI-02T includes a wide range of flexible features, including an adjustable output delay, programmable input slew rate, programmable output slew rate, programmable delay compensation, programmable output disable time and a clock out gater. The adjustable output delay enables the user to have greater control over the accurate delivery of the output data stream.
The ICS2059GI-02T is an extremely versatile Clock Generator with an integrated PLL and Frequency Synthesizer, which is ideal for high-performance applications that demand precision timing. It has been designed to achieve superior power efficiency, low noise operation, high accuracy and robust performance.
