ICS290PG is a low-power, low-noise and low-jitter programmable clock generator, PLL, and frequency synthesizer. It is designed for use in applications that require high-precision, synchronized clocks from low frequencies up to 3GHz such as Radio, Television and Telecom. The ICS290PG series has a wide range of input and output clock combinations, and allows for different pull-range and stability options. It supports Crystal, PXO, CSO, and VCXO with Programmable Divider. With an integrated low-noise VCO and Oscillator, the ICS290PG allows for a more comprehensive clock synchronization system. The ICS290PG is designed with features that enable ultimate frequency flexibility while achieving high-performance timing.The ICS290PG device is a frequency synthesizer with optimized power and jitter control, providing a high-performance solution in a small package size. It is an ideal solution for narrow band applications, where the target frequency does not need to be changed often and high precision timing is required.The device includes internal components such as a programmable frequency synthesizer (PFS), a low-noise voltage-controlled oscillator (VCOS), a phase-locked loop (PLL), and a digital-controlled oscillator (DCO). The integrated PFS allows direct synthesis of most frequencies, while the internal VCOS and PLL allow frequency translation and/or frequency multiplication. The internal DCO allows generation of non-programmable frequencies.The ICS290PG device is a programmable frequency synthesizer that utilizes a combination of a PFS, VCOS, PLL, and DCO to support a wide range of frequencies. The PFS is responsible for producing the output frequency, while the internal VCOS and PLL are responsible for producing low-noise frequency translation and/or frequency multiplication. The DCO can be programmed to generate non-programmable frequencies. In addition, the device includes a Selectable Output Clock Phase option, which allows for easy correction of variations in edge delay or jitter due to periods of poor performance of the reference clock.The ICS290PG is designed to support a wide range of input reference clock frequencies. The device can operate up to 3GHz frequencies. The device supports multiple reference clock options such as crystal, PXO, CSO, and VCXO. The device also supports several output clock options, including crystal and PXO, with Programmable Divider. The device also offers multiple pull-range and stability options, giving it ultimate flexibility.The ICS290PG is designed to provide digital system designers with the highest level of flexibility.
