It is a general purpose Clock & Data Fractional Spread Spectrum Buffer with integrated logic to prepare fractional spread-spectrum outputs that can be used to reduce electro-magnetic interference (EMI). It is a type of self-contained, small circuit component that works as a data transmitter or receiver, allowing multiple pieces of circuit equipment to communicate with each other and allowing uninterrupted operation.
