The IDT74FCT3807APY is an octal bus transceiver designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. It allows data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or vice versa, depending on the logic level at the Direction Control (DIR) input. This includes the ability to drive 20mA outputs from either the A or B bus.

This transceiver is intended for general-purpose data transmission applications such as microprocessor system logic, data communications and signal buffering. It has a low power consumption and is well suited for high speed CMOS systems. Its features make it well suited for clock/timing - clock buffers, drivers, storage registers, general-purpose bus driving, bus zapping, bus hold, and PAL device architects.
